These terms cover devimprint.com and the data it publishes. They are provided by<CONTROLLER>. Using the site means accepting them.

Not live yet. The controller name and governing law are placeholders until the entity is settled.

What the site is

A ranking of developers by commits in public repositories that carry a detectable signature from an AI coding tool, and a set of pages explaining how that is measured. It is published as a measurement, not as an assessment of anyone.

What the numbers mean, and what they do not

This matters more than anything else here, so it is stated as a term rather than a caveat.

• A count describes observed public attribution, not a verified total or guaranteed lower bound on AI use. Private work, incomplete coverage and differences in attribution can lower counts; attribution errors can also inflate them.
• It is not a measure of productivity, skill, seniority, effort or code quality, and a low position or an absence says nothing about a developer.
• Attribution can be wrong, most often through shared or recycled commit email addresses.Tell us and we will fix it.

Using the data

The published document at /leaderboard.json may be used for research, journalism and analysis, including commercially, provided you attribute DevImprint, link back, and state the snapshot date. Every snapshot carries its own digest and generation time; cite them, because the window slides and a figure without a date is not reproducible.

Do not present a stale snapshot as current, and retain the measurement limitations above when restating a count.

What the data must not be used for

These are conditions of use, and they are the reason the site publishes counts and names and nothing else.

• No automated decisions about people. Do not use a rank to screen, filter, reject, rate or performance-manage anyone. It is not fit for it, and using it that way would make it the thing it was built to replace.
• No bulk contact. Do not use the data to build a mailing list, send unsolicited recruiting messages at scale, or assemble profiles of individuals.
• No re-identification. Unresolved identities are published as opaque handles deliberately. Do not attempt to resolve them to people, and do not combine the data with other sources to do so.
• No resale as a personal dataset. You may publish analysis and aggregates. You may not sell, license or broker the per-developer records.
• Do not use the data to harass, target or disparage any developer in it.

Developers appearing on the site

If you are ranked here, you can be removed at any time without giving a reason. SeeRemove me. That right is not affected by these terms and cannot be waived by anyone else's use of the data.

Availability and accuracy

The site is provided as is. Snapshots may be delayed, incomplete or provisional, and coverage is reported openly on the coverage page rather than smoothed over. We do not guarantee availability, completeness or fitness for any particular purpose, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of what is published here. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Automated access

Fetch the published JSON document rather than crawling the rendered pages; it is the same data and it is cheaper for both of us. Do not crawl at a rate that degrades the site for others. robots.txt is the authority on what may be crawled.

Changes

These terms may change; the date at the top changes with them. Material changes to what the data may be used for will be described rather than folded silently into the text.
